Manchester Health and Care Commissioning is a single commissioner for health and social care, comprising a partnership between Manchester Clinical Commissioning Group and Manchester City Council.

In April 2016 Greater Manchester Health and Social Partnership, took charge of a £6bn devolved health and social care budget - putting power into the hands of local decision-makers. The Partnership is the body made up of NHS organisations, councils, voluntary, community and social enterprise groups, NHS England, Healthwatch, the police and fire service in our city region.

It’s a new era for Greater Manchester and a new era for public sector communications here. And now we have a vacancy to support the workforce transformation using your communication and engagement skills.

As the Communications and Engagement Workforce Manager looking after the Partnership you will be at the heart of our devolution journey. Experienced at, and comfortable with, working in a fast paced, complex, politically sensitive and rapidly changing environment, you will manage the workforce communications on a day to day basis.

You will be passionate about communications and engagement and full of ideas – with the ability to turn them into reality. You must be committed to collaboration and sharing, working with workforce and communications and engagement colleagues across Greater Manchester.

In return, this role, based in Manchester city centre, offers you the chance to work with a wide range of partners across public health, primary and community care, hospitals, social care and beyond.
