Project Coordinator Greater Manchester

Living Streets wants to create a walking nation, where everybody has the chance to gain from the health and social benefits this simple act can bring. Walking is also a vital ingredient of successful communities. Walkable towns and cities are often more vibrant socially and economically. Living Streets manages innovative national projects, working with schools, communities and workplaces to encourage more people to walk short journeys. WOW, our year-round walk to school challenge, is perhaps the most notable, capturing the imagination of children in over 4,000 schools. We work with local authorities to help them improve streets and neighbourhoods. And with our supporters we campaign for positive change and public policies that enliven our streets.

Join us and together we will create a walking nation.

We’re looking for an enthusiastic and personable project coordinator to join our Local Impact team for a fixed term period until 31 March 2018. Previous experience in working with schools to promote active travel is essential. You will take a leading role in engaging target project audiences in Greater Manchester.

You also will be responsible for recruiting target project audiences, organising the distribution of resources and supporting project audiences in the implementation of each intervention.

This is an interesting and varied role and an ability to embrace a diversity of tasks is essential.

Interviews: 9 June 2017
