TAES is ‘The Excellence Framework for Sport and Recreation Services’ and is based on the fundamental belief that the principles of good management are the same in any organisation whatever its size or structure. The Excellence Framework has been developed using existing quality management models, inspection frameworks and accreditation systems.

 

GreaterSport carried out a self-assessment in 2005 as part of a national pilot of the TAES model, and an Improvement Plan was drafted. External validation took place in March 2006, confirming the Partnership’s self-assessment overall score of ‘Good’ and making some suggestions for the Improvement Plan. Delivery against the plan continues, and it is anticipated that another validated self-assessment will take place in early 2009.
