Communities United Project is a registered Charity that utilises the popularity of sport and recreational activities such as dance, drama and DJ workshops as a means of engaging young people in positive activities.
Due to increased popularity and success of CUP we wish to appoint an Activity Development Coordinator (Kirklees based)
Salary: £19,656 (initially funded for 2 years)
We are seeking an enthusiastic, experienced, motivated and confident person to help us deliver and develop our activity programmes for young people.
The successful candidate will:
- have recent experience in creating and implementing community sports/recreation programmes
- have a recent working background in community/sports development
- hold at least one Level 2 NGB coaching qualification
- have experience of working with and an understanding of issues relating to socially excluded groups
- have excellent communication skills
- have a commitment to and understanding of equal opportunities, child protection guidance and Health & safety
This post will require evening, weekend & school holiday work.
