Salary: £16,991 - £18,937 - Scale 4

Hours: 37 per week, subject to job evaluation

Contract: 3 year fixed term contract

Warrington School Sport Partnership (Lymm and William Beamont High Schools) in partnership with Gynmnastics England are seeking to recruit a dedicated gymnastics coach of children and young people to assist in the delivery of the Club and Coach Programme.

The main aim of the Club and Coach Programme is to increase the number of high-quality coaches working in accredited (GymMark) clubs offering high quality gymnastics experience to their members. There will also be an emphasis on increasing participation in gymnastics across Warrington.

The appointed person will play a key role in the delivery of coaching sessions to young people within schools and club(s) and will undertake such roles as planning and organising coaching sessions and attending regional training sessions. In addition the post holder will be required to report to partners and collate details reports on their achievements against desired outcomes. Thorough monitoring and evaluation to ensure targerts are met is also an essential role requirement. The selected candidate will be expected to become an integral part of the School Sport Partnership infrastructure and have a close working relationship with the North West Gymnastics Development Officer.

Applicants should ideally be qualified to club coach standard with two years' experience of coaching children and young people in a school or community setting. Minimum operation standard qualifications such as equity, safeguarding and first air are desirable. Candidates should have excellent IT skills, enthusiasm and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

The post is offered on a 3 year temporary basis and subject to future funding agreements, could be continued. The post will be based within Warrington School Sport Partnerships. Travel and work within other clubs/venues within the partnership may also be required.
