B.H. Sports Management Limited is looking for a confident, highly committed individual for the role of Netball Manager. Based at the Oldham centre in Hollinwood, the role will involve overseeing the development and supervision of the company's netball leagues at its Stockport, Oldham and Bury centres.
Sport for All Centres are two to three court indoor netball and basketball centres, with a focus on mass participation for children and adults in these sports. Each centre delivers a weekly programme of central venue leagues with capacity of between 220 and 330 teams (1,500 to 2,500 participants). The company is growing rapidly and it is anticipated that this role will broaden over time.
Applicants should ideally have a strong background in coaching, umpiring or administration of netball. The main objective of the role is to increase the participation levels in netball at the centres through promotional work as well as direction and supervision of other development staff, working to achieve set targets. Other responsibilities across the three centres include:
- Providing ongoing direction and supervision of the staff on all junior and senior netball programmes
- Overseeing the development of the junior and senior netball leagues including undertaking and delegating relevant promotional work where required
- Junior netball club development including new club formations as well as building and maintaining relationships with existing clubs and helping them to develop relevant policies and standards to fit in with governing body guidelines and accreditation
- Working with and developing ongoing relationships with key partners including Council Sports Development Units, Schools Sports Partnerships and England Netball
- Overseeing the ongoing development of umpires and umpires supervisors
- Organising a year round programme of holiday activities for netball
Applicants should be well organised, time efficient, computer literate and should have a full driving license and own transport. The position is dependent on a successful CRB check.
