A project to developing Women and Girls Basketball was organised by Callum Donnelly, County Basketaball Development Officer, at the Greater Manchester Sport Partnership
The project assessed five performance areas; workforce development, affiliated schools, coaching, participating individuals and number of competitions.
The result of the women and girls project were as follows
- 21 newly qualified female coaches
- 87 coaching sessions coached by the newly qualifed coaches
- 402 girls participating
- 20 schools affiliated for girls basketball
- 8 new girls competitions
