Greater Manchester Moving is the Blueprint for Physical Activity and Sport that will guide the allocation of investment in physical activity and sport at Greater Manchester level over coming years. It outlines the aspiration for a collaborative approach to planning and investment in physical activity and sport in order to improve the health of the Greater Manchester population and maximise the contribution a healthy society makes to the economic growth and prosperity of Greater Manchester. The purpose is not to replace local strategies but to consider the added value that can be achieved by working together across Greater Manchester. This approach aligns to the wider health and social care devolution and the framework aims to deliver at scale whilst offering a value for money approach.
