The ideal candidate must have at least a level 2 certificate in teaching swimming and ideally a level 3 certificate in coaching water polo. they will have excellent communication and organisational skills and the ability to use their own initiative. British Cycling are looking to employ a Campaigns Manager, based in Manchester with a salary upto £32,292. British Cycling is an exciting place to be. The Role
To manage British Cycling’s road safety campaign activity which responds to increasing member concerns and the fact that the perceived danger is a significant barrier to participation in cycling. The Campaigns Manager will be responsible for creating the necessary briefings, policy documents, campaign resources and facilitating the necessary meetings and events to mobilise member, public and political support for action at a national and local Government level to achieve the desired changes to legislation and the cycling environment. With this being a new role within the organisation we require an individual with experience in developing and leading effective campaign activity.

British Cycling are looking to employ a Go-Ride Coach, based in Manchester with a salary upto £23,066 + vehicle on a fixed term contract until 31st March 2013.British Cycling is going through an unprecedented period of success and growth. Our ambition is to attract a further 1 million people to cycling and provide opportunities for at least 150,000 of them to cycle at least once per week by 2013.
At the heart of British Cycling is the drive to reach out to new audiences, be more inclusive, develop the sport and attract a total of 100,000 members. The organisation wants to be known for innovation in grass roots and recreational cycling in order to match the ongoing success at an elite level.
The Role
We require a highly motivated individual who is able to work as part of a team. You will be required to plan, deliver and evaluate a co-ordinated programme of high quality progressive coaching activities that engage more young people in the sport.
The coaching programme will link school, community and club provision and aim to provide increased opportunities to retain young people in cycling.
You must hold a UKCC Level 2 Certificate in Coaching Cycling qualification (equivalent or above), or demonstrate a commitment to achieving this within six months of the start date for the post.
