Triathlon British Triathlon Federation

The British Triathlon Federation is the national governing body for the sport of triathlon in Great Britain. The British Triathlon Federation’s members are comprised of Triathlon England, triathlonscotland and Welsh Triathlon.

Triathlon England is the National Governing Body for the sport of Triathlon in England as recognised by the British Triathlon Federation, Sport England and the Commonwealth Games Council for England.

The sport of Triathlon has development staff deployed throughout England, Scotland and Wales.  Their role is to facilitate the development of Triathlon within their areas in pursuit of the following objectives:

• increasing participation in the sport;
• developing the number of quality assured clubs;
• increasing the numbers of triathletes in clubs;
• developing the number of accredited triathlon coaches;
• encouraging volunteering in the sport;
• developing pathways for young people in the sport.
