GreaterSport launched their new website on 14 April 2005.
The site, www.greatersport.co.uk, is packed full of new features, including the ability to search for courses in your area, join discussion groups and get information on your local club or sports facility.
The rejuvenated site will replace one that was becoming outdated and difficult to navigate. The new site is set to make information much easier to find and reduce the need to file through old information. Used to its full potential, there are even features that will remind you that you have a meeting coming up and let you comment on the agenda.
Richard Saunders, Chief Executive of GreaterSport, said "the launch of our new site is a really exciting move for the Partnership. It should make information about getting involved in sport and physical activity in Greater Manchester much easier to access, and the new technology in the site will help everyone who makes up the Partnership to work more efficiently together".
The launch of the website coincides with the publication of "New Generation" – the Partnership’s new 5-year strategy which aims to bring partners together to create a new generation of physically active people.
