Future of Public Health Landscape in Greater Manchester Seminar 28th March 2011

Will Blandamer, Director of the Greater Manchester Public Health Network, presented a seminar for the professional sports clubs in Greater Manchester on ’Understanding the Future of the Public Health Landscape in Greater Manchester ‘ .

This was held at the Velodrome on Monday 28th March 2011  in response to a request by the GM sports sector to better understand the changes in health delivery and how strategic links to the health agendas can be made.

BBC Radio Manchester also attended to promote the work of the Network through two radio interviews.  Will Blandamer outlined the purpose of the network and who is involved in it before Stephen Hoy and Dave  Ryan explained how the Manchester United Foundation work in partnership to deliver health promotion programmes in the community. Finally a photo of some of those present wearing their favourite ‘club shirt’ was taken to promote the collaborative approach the network is adopting. The slides from the seminar and a copy of the photo are available following the links below.
