Project Report Workforce Development Management - Project Report

Summary
The Greater Manchester Workforce Development Management project was run by GreaterSport between March 2009 and February 2011. During that time the project engaged all of the key partners from the Greater Manchester and North West sport and physical activity networks and created a sub-regional group for workforce development. The project team submitted five funding applications worth over £200,000 and influenced external investment in the network by providing access to a funding search tool and education on how to make the most of CASC status. The project led to 113 sports clubs being supported to complete a needs analysis, identifying the need for 427 sports qualifications, 315 non-sports qualifications and 308 job or volunteer roles. 15 case studies were produced on the activities of the project which has an estimated impact of 2135 more people taking part in sport and physical activity in Greater Manchester.
