As I assess our programming and the ways in which we are trying to grow membership and participation, GreaterSport helped me to align the most likely Sport England market segments in Oldham streets and 5km beyond Oldham postcode areas. This provided great insight into the types of activities we could provide, and where we should programme certain activities due to the market segments in the various localities around our leisure centres. I intend to work with GreaterSport to start to challenge thoughts on how we move to effective reprogramming and sales campaigns to drive up membership and participation. The next step in this process is for GreaterSport to help me to map core elements of our membership to start to show what programmes and marketing will be needed to help us provide the activities our members want.
