Market Segmentation

Market Segmentation is examined to see the types of people in Greater Manchester and look at their attitudes towards sport. Why do they do it, why don’t they do it, what would make them do more etc. In depth analysis of Market Segments, applying them to very specific geographic areas or programmes and interventions can support decision making on what sporting interventions are likely to be more successful for different target groups.

Sport England have split the adult population into 19 market segments, depending on their gender, age, occupation, life style etc. There are four segments in supergroup A that are mostly aged between 18 and 25 and are the target market for Sportivate.
