I have been working for GreaterSport for 3 years now. Prior to this I completed a BSc in Psychology at the University of Manchester where my research was published. My role as Research Insight Officer involves conducting both quantitative and qualitative research for consultation or evaluation within sport and physical activity. Examples of this include Get Out Get Active and Seashell Trust’s CADS evaluation. I have also been working closely with New Economy around Cost Benefit Analysis to demonstrate the economic impact of sport and physical activity for over a year now.
Hi my name is Phillip Gray and I am an analyst at GreaterSport. I joined GreaterSport in December 2016, from the University of Limerick where I taught on a range of modules including research methods, statistics, and sport and exercise psychology. Prior to this, I completed a PhD in exercise psychology at Ulster University, where I developed and implemented several theory informed physical activity interventions, and assessed their effects on physical activity levels, fitness, and psychological wellbeing.
My role as an analyst at GreaterSport is wide ranging. My duties include collecting, analysing, and interpreting data and information to understand local trends in sport and physical activity, conducting quantitative and qualitative research, and undertake cost-benefit analysis. If you have any queries regarding how I can help with insight for your projects, please do not hesitate to contact me.
