Case Studies

Every deliverer must complete a short project review form at the end of the 6 or 8 weeks of Sportivate sessions. This will enable GreaterSport to develop case studies to show the impact of Sportivate on individuals and communities and share good practice County-wide and nationally.The project review form can be downloaded from the monitoring page (see links on left hand side).

 

Sustainability Surveys

Guiding participants into regular participation is a key aim of Sportivate. Sustained participants are those who continue to participate regularly in sport 3 months after the Sportivate sessions finished and will be measured using two methods:

An intention study will ask participants who have just completed the Sportivate weekly coaching sessions if they intend to continue doing sport now that their Sportivate weekly coaching sessions have finished. Providers will be responsible for collecting completed intention forms back from participants and submitting them with the participant registration forms. Each Local Authority Sportivate Lead will be responsible for collecting a sample of 70 intention forms (to be provided) from participants during the year (split equally across the 4 quarters). As an incentive, every completed postcard will be entered into a prize draw to win Amazon vouchers. A tracking study will ask participants if they have continued to take part in sport three months after they completed Sportivate weekly coaching sessions. Providers will be responsible for getting participants to provide an email address, give their consent to be involved in the tracking study before taking part in Sportivate weekly coaching sessions. Three months after sessions finish, participants who have consented to be contacted will receive an email or text to ask them to complete a survey.
