Safe, effective, Child-friendly
(obtained from www.ecb.co.uk)The England and Wales Cricket Board welcomes the opportunity to work with Sport England on this pioneering club accreditation scheme.
Clubs have a vital role to play in the development of young players. Clubmark will set the entry level for an increasing network of cricket clubs providing good quality cricket programmes for young people.
In addition the Clubmark accreditation scheme is fully integrated with Safe Hands the ECB's welfare of young people in Cricket policy.
Currently the ECB is testing a model for its own accreditation scheme of which Clubmark will form the entry level. Clubmark will provide the core standards that all clubs involved will be supported to achieve. In addition, it is anticipated that clubs will be further recognised where they demonstrate one or more of the following:
- A programme with schools or other community groups
- A coaching and competition programme
- A player development programme for talented players
Having a vibrant and healthy cricket club infrastructure is at the very bedrock of ECB policy and planning.
To register for Clubmark please contact Bobby Denning (Greater Manchester CDM) or Dipesh Asher (GreaterSport CDO).
