Mini Tennis Orange introduces children to playing on a 3/4 length tennis court. The low bounce Orange ball slows the game down to a speed that gives players time to play good basic tennis shots to ensure they have maximum fun playing the game.
The rules and regulations for the Open Tournaments are as follows.
Age Limit: 9 & Under, for children born 1996 or later. (Age Groups for the Tournaments are determined by a player's age DURING 2005)
Court Size: 18 x 8m singles court with regular service boxes. The orange base line is therefore half way between a normal size tennis court service line and base line.
Ball Type: For indoor and outdoor play, a low compression Mini Tennis Orange ball should be used.
Racquet Size: Recommended 23-25"- but can use larger rackets depending on the size and strength of the player
Scoring: Tie break style. Best of three tie break games is suggested although the format may follow that of Mini Tennis Red if time is restricted
