The “Women into Higher Level Sports Coaching” ESF-funded project has been established to support the development of current Level 1 female coaches into higher level coaching roles.
Our programme aims to provide high quality mentoring support to all participants. In addition it will financially subsidise the achievement of the Level 2 or Level 3 UKCC coaching qualification, over a 12-month period.
This programme aims to develop core coaching skills, enhance generic skills, promote equity and leadership for women in sport, and develop alternative employment pathways for women.
Many of the women who are participating in this programme may have barriers or challenges that make it difficult for them to participate in coach development or progress to a higher level of coaching skills development. To minimise these barriers to progression, we are also offering subsidies to cover registered childcare and travel expenses for any activities that relate the achievement of the Level 2 or Level 3 qualification.
