Women into Higher Level Sports Coaching

The North West Women into Higher Level Sports Coaching (WiHLSC) Partnership is supporting dedicated females who already have their Level 1 who want to develop as a high quality sports coach.

We are seeking women who have a desire to develop as a coach who may have faced barriers in their progression.  The successful women

beneficiaries of this project will be supported in becoming role models for other females in coaching and assist us in our quest to develop and promote

innovative support structures for women in coaching.  This role may include sharing experiences with other women coaches or speaking with young people to encourage them to consider coaching as a career choice.  The long- term level of input will be dependant on your personal circumstances.

Each of the programme participants will be offered one-to-one mentoring across the 12-month programme.  In addition, all participants will be able to access further development opportunities of up to 5 subsidised coach development workshops, including LTAD and FUNdamentals. Further subsidies will be available to cover childcare, travel and other generic skills development, such as   working towards self-employment, presentation skills, public speaking and ICT.

WiHLSC aims to create long-term sustainable pathways and role models to

enable you and other women to progress into high level coaching roles.

This is a unique opportunity for a total of 150 women to gain an enormous benefit through active participation in an innovative new programme.

Please note: the current programme capacity is full, however we are operating a waiting list. If you wish to be placed on the waiting list, please contact Leigh and request an application form.
