Wigan team prepare for the Games!
All the squads representing the Wigan Borough will come together to experience high quality coaching in a 2-day ‘Training Camp’ staged as part of the run-up to the 'I love me' Greater Manchester Youth Games sponsored by the Association of Greater Manchester PCT's. The camps will be held over the weekend of 31st May and 1st June at Robin Park Sports Complex and Leigh Sports Village respectively (two sites included on the International Olympic Training Camps Directory).
Running from 10am-2pm on each day, amongst one or two other features, the camps will ultimatelyfacilitate training/coaching sessions for all of the participants, team managers and assistants. The idea is that by bringing everyone together a real ‘Team Wigan’ atmosphere can be generated; providing the momentum for the teams to train in the build up to the main event on Saturday 12th July.
