Volunteers
Without the volunteer coaches, team managers, administrators and 'on-the-day support, the 'I love me' Greater Manchester Youth Games would cease to function.
Volunteers are a vital part of the Games, in the run-up to the event, on the day and after the Games has finished. They are the people behind the scenes that make sure we can deliver a Games that is second to none.

Examples of roles include:
PRE-EVENT
- Administration support at the GreaterSport offices, working as a team to carry out a number of vital last minute tasks!
- Setting up venues for the Greater Manchester Youth Games. This with require a degree of physical fitness, and may possibly involve manual handling.
ON THE DAY
- Being part of the welcome party, helping to celebrate twenty years of the 'I love me' Greater Manchester Youth Games
- Helping the event run smoothly by answering competitor and spectator questions, providing information and making sure the event is as safe and child friendly as possible.
- Supporting GreaterSport to encourage competitors and spectators to feed back about the event.
AFTER THE EVENT
- Providing feedback on your experience of volunteering and Games so that we can continue to improve what we offer volunteers.
- Helping dismantle the sites, which requires a degree of physical fitness, and manual handling. (Late Saturday afternoon and evening)
