Communications and Marketing Lead

Grade G Spinal Column Point 30 to 34 £27,358 to 30,756 per annum

Fixed term until 31st March 2021, 37 hours per week

An exciting opportunity has opened for the role of Together an Active Future Communications and Marketing Lead until March 31st 2021. The post, hosted by Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council will be integral to the development of Pennine Lancashire’s Local Delivery Pilot in partnership with Sport England. Together and Active Future is one of only twelve Local Delivery Pilots nationally which represent a key investment commitment from Sport England as part of delivering their strategy ‘Towards an Active Nation’.

Pennine Lancashire has been driving change through its transformation of health and social care to improve the health, wealth and wellbeing for people who live and work in the towns and villages across the 6 local authority areas. Sport England’s Local Delivery Pilot fits with this wider work and is an excellent opportunity to build on and accelerate prevention through the local priorities to increase levels of physical activity and improve mental wellbeing. The programme has a strong commitment to develop effective insight, community engagement and communication and for individuals to be part of the development, design and delivery processes.

We are now looking to increase the capacity of the programme team to support and accelerate the development of Together an Active Future across Pennine Lancashire in a very busy start-up period.

The successful individual will possess:

  • Ability to design and distribute exciting and engaging communication material for a variety of media channels including digital, social and print
  • Good all-round experience and skills to coordinate key messages and channels of information within and between partner organisations
  • Ability to creatively capture and promote engagement and participant stories and data through innovative methods
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to work at pace and to deadlines
  • Excellent organisation skills
  • Motivated and enthusiastic with a can-do attitude

You will be part of a supportive and motivated team both in Pennine Lancashire and Sport England with a desire to do things differently, drive system change and improve the health and wellbeing of people living in Pennine Lancashire.
