Project Life Co-Ordinator

Project Life works with adults experiencing mental health problems. The programme works with individuals on a one to one basis using physical activity to improve mental health. We have now received funding to continue this project for 1 year in the Wythenshawe area and are looking to appoint somebody to co-ordinate this work.

A client centred care approach is important to us. As the Project Life Co-Ordinator, you will work in client’s homes at a pace and in a way which is appropriate to the individual, using a range of physical activities. Initial assessments are always carried out with another member of staff and together with the client, goals are set, and a physical activity plan is put in place. There will also be the opportunity to establish group physical activity sessions to enable clients to come together and engage in physical activity. We receive referrals from a range of local organisations including GP’s, the South Manchester Mental Health Trust and Wythenshawe Community Housing Group

The Project Life Co-Ordinator will be responsible for liaising with referrers, working one to one with clients to establish and engage them each week in some physical activity, support clients in thinking about how to increase physical activity at other times throughout the week, organising and running group physical activity sessions, keeping accurate records, attending training and networking groups.
