Jennifer Mossop-Scott - Director
Time on board - July 2018 to present
Why I joined the GreaterSport board - I was so grateful to be introduced to GreaterSport through one of my most inspiring friends. After learning a bit more, I was quickly impressed with the clarity of purpose, sound foundations and the palpable energy of this organisation. I love its big goal to make a tangible difference to a huge number of lives in Greater Manchester through physical activity and sport.
Current Job - IT Change Director at N Brown a business with a fantastic presence and history in Manchester. I’ve been there for 4 years, and I am in charge of delivery of multi-million pound technology transformation investments, as we move our business from its rich heritage as a home shopping retailer to a truly digital business.
Professional Background - Despite an academic background as a neuroscientist, I’ve developed a career over 18 years in IT, both as a management consultant and as an in-house technology leader within some of the UK's leading retail businesses.
Skills I bring - Aside from the strategic insight, independent thinking, and integrity any board member would be expected to contribute, I also bring a high-energy positive outlook, clear analytical acumen, and strong communication and teamworking skills.
Areas of Expertise - I expect that my grounding in digital business practices, information technology and in particular data strategy and data usage will prove beneficial. I hope these will be complementary to the many diverse skills and thought processes that my board colleagues bring from their own varied backgrounds and experiences.
Personal Interests/facts - I’m proud Canadian, who has been privileged to call Manchester my home for nearly 20 years.
