Time on board - April 2018 to present, having previously lead GreaterSport as CEO

Why I joined the GreaterSport board as an Observer - After leaving my role as CEO, the opportunity to continue the journey was a fantastic opportunity. Striving to engage people to become active, with a focus on people who are inactive and reducing inequalities, is something I am passionate about. The board is high performing and blends fantastic skills and people behind the mission of GreaterSport. I will contribute and learn, and am excited to be a part of GreaterSport's future.

Current Job - Managing Director of Project 92, overseeing the interests of the Class of 92 across their education and sport portfolio.

Professional Background - A career spanning over 15 years within the sport and physical activity sector, with over a decade in senior management, including four years as CEO of GreaterSport. During that time I have lead a movement to engage strategic partners across Greater Manchester to recognise the contribution physical activity and sport can make, resulting in the first MOU between Sport England and Greater Manchester in the country and the launch of GM Moving. I also have experience in an number of Non-Executive Director roles, and therefore am fully aware of my duties as an observer of the Charity.

Skills I bring - I am well networked and very focused on relationship management. Through my experiences with GreaterSport, I have a working knowledge of running a charity and operating in the third and public sector. I adopt a collaborative style which encourages change management and cultural growth.

Areas of Expertise - Knowledge of the sector and strategic ambitions of Greater Manchester. I also have a thorough understanding of the organisation and a significant and relevant network within Greater Manchester, and nationally.

Personal Interests - I carried the Commonwealth Games baton in the torch relay Manchester 2002 recognising my contributions as a young volunteer in sport. I am currently a Non-Executive Director for Manchester Rangers Rugby League Club – striving to bring professional rugby back to Manchester.
