This workshop will enable you to:

  • Provide children and young people with a positive and enriching sporting experience
  • Recognise and respond to the signs and symptoms of child abuse and poor practice
  • Take appropriate action if concerns about a child arise


This workshop is a Minimum Standard for Deployment requirement for many National Governing Bodies of Sport.


The Minimum Standards for Deployment are the basic standard every coach needs to meet to carry out their role safely and effectively.


It can be attended by all those responsible for organising children’s sport (e.g. NGB’s, local authorities, sports and leisure centres and sports clubs).


Attendance on the workshop will provide a certificate valid for 3 years.
