It is with regret that due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the 2020 Greater Manchester Sports Awards event planned for November, has been cancelled. However we will still be celebrating and shining a spotlight on the role sport and physical activity plays in changing lives, just in a different way.
We will be gathering and sharing inspirational stories from people and organisations across our great city region about how they are helping to #KeepGMMoving through social media and our website. We want to celebrate the work being done to provide opportunities for our residents to move more, celebrate those who have gone above and beyond and those who have changed their life for the better. As well as celebrating the great work being done during Covid-19, we will also be celebrating the achievements and outstanding contributions made prior to the pandemic.
There is so much work being done in Greater Manchester to provide opportunities for our residents to be active and the Greater Manchester Sports Awards aim to recognise this amazing work. It aims to thank those who have gone above and beyond or gone that extra mile, who's had their greatest sporting year to date? Who has changed their life for the better because of getting active?
