Exciting opportunity to lead a Commonwealth and Olympic sport!

British Wrestling is seeking to appoint an exceptional and experienced candidate as Chair to lead the national governing body for wrestling.

British Wrestling is committed to developing and promoting the sport of wrestling so that everyone achieves their full potential on and off the mat. We do this through our three strategic objectives of:
1. Safety, health and wellbeing for all
2. Increase membership and participation
3. Win medals and honours

The Chair will work closely with the Board and recently appointed Chief Executive to provide strong leadership to guide the strategic direction of the organisation and shape the way it operates.

Candidates will have a passion for sport and the power it has to change lives and communities. They will have a strong track record of leadership and experience working at board level, ideally in a chairing role. With an awareness of the workings and politics of the sports sector both domestically and internationally, candidates will have excellent communication and networking skills along with the energy and drive to support the growth of wrestling across the UK. Candidates will need to demonstrate a commitment to equality and diversity.

British Wrestling welcomes applications from all sectors of society. British Wrestling is committed to providing equal opportunities for all and is committed to following best practice in the welfare of young people and vulnerable adults.
