Job role: As the Active Young People Lead my role ensures national and local guidance relating to young people aged 10-25 years is advocated for, aiming to influence systems across Greater Manchester to make physical activity and sport accessible for young people, with a focus upon reducing inequalities. This work includes ensuring young people have a say in decisions that affect them and shaping their future sporting, physically activity and wellbeing across Greater Manchester.

Date joined: January 2019

Professional background: I graduated from Leeds Met university with a degree in Sport Development and started to work at Oldham Council as a Sport Development Officer. I am passionate about promoting the benefits of physical activity on individuals health and wellbeing. I have played netball since I was 8 years old and travelled with Oldham Netball club to Australia in 2008! I enjoy meeting new people and learning about their journey.

Fun fact: When I was at University I met Jessica Ennis when she came to train at the track and made sure I got a selfie with her!
