The inactivity gender gap in Wigan is 5.0%

Since November 15/16 the gender gap has decreased by 3.9%. This change is due to a decrease in inactivity amongst women (-2.5%) and an increase in inactivity amongst men (+1.4%).

The inactivity socio-economic gap in Wigan is 20.2%

Since November 15/16 the socio-economic gap has increased by 3.2%. This change is due to an increase in inactivity amongst lower social groups (+1.0%), NS-SEC 6-8, and a decrease in inactivity amongst higher social groups (-2.2%) NS-SEC 1-2.

The inactivity disability gap in Wigan is 28.3%

Since November 15/16 the disability gap has increased by 4.9%.  This is a result of inactivity falling amongst those without a long term limiting disability (-2.8%) and increasing amongst those with a long term limiting disability (+2.1%).

The inactivity age gap in Wigan is 18.8%

Since November 15/16 the age gap has decreased by 26.6%. This is a result of inactivity amongst over 75's declining (-13.2%) whilst inactivity has risen for 16 to 34 year olds (+13.4%).
