An exciting opportunity has arisen at RL Commercial.

Rugby League Commercial manages all commercial aspects of UK Rugby League, including the Betfred Men’s and Women’s Super League, the Challenge Cup and the England national teams (men, women and wheelchair).

We are seeking to appoint a Communications Executive to take ownership of key Rugby League properties to help us reach our commercial targets in 2025 and beyond.

RL Commercial are currently recruiting for a Communications Executive Principal duties will include, but not limited to:

  • Manage media operations for the Communications Team at all central events
  • Working with the Head of Media on RL Commercial’s responsibilities as the comms function for the Rugby Football League – especially the community game including Women’s, Girls’ and Wheelchair.
  • Attend a number of centrally managed and non-centrally managed matches in an official capacity, assisting in management of all communications activity where necessary.
  • Undertake such duties as may be required from time to time as are consistent with the responsibilities of the post and the needs of the sport
  • Responsible for answering and responding to external press enquiries
  • Promotion of initiatives and campaigns (such as player welfare)

Remuneration: up to £25k per annum, 35 hours per week and is based in Manchester.
