Thank you for your interest in designing our new website.

Here are some FAQs that may be helpful while preparing your proposal. We will update this page with any questions we are asked that may be helpful for anyone preparing proposals.

What are GM Moving looking for?

We are seeking a strategic, experienced, and creative digital agency to create GM Moving a new website. We want a user-focused, accessible, and easy-to-manage site that clearly communicates our work and impact.

What should be included in the proposal?

  • A brief company overview including charity/non-profit experience and ESG commitment
  • Your project approach: scoping, design, development, testing, support, accessibility
  • Examples of accessible and inclusive work (WCAG 2.2 AA compliant)
  • Timeline with key milestones and detailed cost breakdown
  • Two example projects that best showcase your work
  • Details of your ongoing support packages
  • Proposal should be a maximum of five pages

Which technology or CRM is preferred?

We are open to your recommendations! We have previously used Umbraco, and are curious to see what other technology may suit our needs better, especially regarding ease of use for our wider team, and stored media capacity.

What is the Resource Hub and how is it currently managed?

We host our Resource Hub through ResourceSpace. We would love to bring this into our main site, if possible and affordable, but it is not an essential requirement for this brief.
ResourceSpace isn't built on a CMS as such, it's been developed internally. Typically, users wishing to integrate with the system would use an API. There are also plug-ins, such as: WordPress integration | ResourceSpace

What accessibility standards are expected?

Suppliers should demonstrate experience with WCAG 2.2 AA and inclusive design best practices. Accessibility should be considered throughout design, development, and testing.

Why is the maximum brief length five pages? Can we submit something longer?

We will be asking several people on our team to read the briefs, and they have very limited time. This is why we’ve requested proposals to be 5 pages.
Your 5 pages must include all the details we’ve requested.
All details we want to see in your proposal are in the section of the brief named Proposal Submission Details on page 11 and 12. Your five page proposal can include top level detail, including costs.
If successful, we will invite you to an in-person pitch where you can share further detail and visuals. You can include links to case studies within the 5 pages if that helps.

What is the deadline for proposal submission?

Proposals must be submitted by 5:00 PM, Thursday 14 August 2025.

Where should proposals be sent?

Please email your proposal to: [email protected]

If we’re successful, when and where will pitches take place?

Shortlisted suppliers will be invited to pitch on Tuesday 2 September 2025, in Manchester City Centre.

When will the website go live?

The website is expected to go live in February 2026.

Roughly how many hours of monthly technical support do you expect to need?

We are currently using 5 hours of support per month, on average. This includes security patches and upgrades. We’re hoping the new site will require fewer hours.
