Trafford Council's Leisure Services Team is looking for two Physical Activity Coordinators.

As a Physical Activity Coordinator you'll help deliver creative, inclusive physical activity initiatives across Trafford’s neighbourhoods — particularly for groups facing barriers to access such as children, women, ethnic minorities, disabled residents, and those with long-term health conditions.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting delivery of the Trafford Moving strategy
  • Supporting activation of capital infrastructure projects across leisure, sport and active travel
  • Designing and coordinating community-based physical activity projects
  • Engaging with residents, local groups, and key partners
  • Supporting events like the Trafford Moving Conference and major sports events, such as the ICC Women’s T20 Cricket World Cup 2026
  • Monitoring program impact and sharing insights to drive improvement
  • You’ll also help deliver and monitor funded programs like the Holiday Activity Fund and support development activities that strengthen local partnerships and volunteering.
