This project has been made possible through funding from the National Lottery Awards for All.
Walking Cricket makes cricket accessible to older adults (men and women aged over 50) and individuals who are semi–retired or retired. It is an adaptation of the traditional game of cricket to suit those with less mobility and caters for different abilities.
The sessions are led by a trained coach and start with gentle ball skill exercises which build up into a game, followed by a chat with complimentary refreshments.
Rochdale’s School Games Programme has made impressive strides in broadening its stakeholder engagement, laying strong foundations for sustainable, inclusive physical activity opportunities for young people.
Over 1000 people from across Greater Manchester and beyond joined us for this year's Conference. It was an energising day of movement, collaboration and action.
