• To be responsible for the day to day operational building management of the Arts and Heritage Resource Centre, Sparth Community Centre and Touchstones Rochdale ensuring high standards are maintained at all times and an effective and economic operation is delivered.
  • To be responsible for planning, reviewing and monitoring all aspects of general maintenance and service of the buildings, plant, health and safety and security including daily, weekly and monthly health and safety checks at all sites.
  • To be responsible for reviewing and monitoring environmental impact, energy efficiency, environmental objectives and KPI’s.
  • To be responsible for managing the operational budgets (including forecasting) for all sites, ensuring financial targets and KPI’s are achieved.
  • To work closely with other Your Trust Staff to ensure any specific conditions required for or relating to the collections held at the sites are not compromised by any contracted work.
  • To complete monthly racking inspections at the Arts and Heritage Resource Centre.
  • To identify and organise any staff training relating to health and safety at the sites, including delivering training where appropriate.
  • To provide advice and support on any risk assessments required for off-site visits by community groups working on projects.
  • To liaise and engage with contractors and suppliers to ensure all maintenance and service works takes place with agreed SLA’s and is delivered on time and to budget.
  • To provide regular reports to the Management Team regarding condition of the buildings and position regarding compliance and budgets.
  • To support the Management Team with input into the capital redevelopment project meetings from a building and operational perspective.
  • To attend relevant internal and external meetings e.g. weekly Arts & Heritage Senior Management Team meetings and monthly Your Trust Operational meetings.
  • To ensure adherence to Your Trust policy and practices as regards financial management, building operational management and health and safety including audits in accordance with legislative requirements.
  • To be responsible for the day to day management of the Touchstones Van including maintenance, compliance and bookings.
  • To oversee the maintenance of stock levels of consumables and stationary at all sites.
  • To act as a principle key holder.
